Many of the students in 3rd grade have had to face a tragedy that no one their age should ever have to go through. Hurricane Harvey came and left a lasting mark on our community. Not only were many of these students homes flooded but so was their school. Their school was prepared with resources and ready for them to enjoy it, only to be ruined by floodwaters.
These students are brave, compassionate, and deserving.
They have been through a lot in their young lives and they deserve to have the resources they need in order to be successful.
My Project
Student's in the 3rd Grade at Texas public schools are required to take a state standardized test at the end of the year. One thing they are allowed to use are dictionaries. Unfortunately, due to the flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey, our school lost all of our dictionaries.
Our students shouldn't be without necessary resources because of a natural disaster.
I am asking for these dictionaries so that all of our 3rd grade students have all the resources they need to help them be the most successful. These students are hardworking and determined and would greatly appreciate these items being donated.
