Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are active and hands on learners who love to create and explore! My Transitional Kindergarteners come to school every day looking for fun and engaging learning opportunities. They learn best through play and exploration! They have a very important goal they are working on each day: getting ready for kindergarten.
Help me create hands on STEM opportunities for my little innovators (future scientists, engineers, programmers, and architects!)
This transitional year is a critical year for them to develop critical thinking and problem solving experiences through hands on experiences.
My Project
Students will be using Magna-Tiles, and Design and Build Engineering Centers to build, explore, and engineer buildings, bridges, and vehicles. They will use Ramptastic to explore STEM concepts through prediction and experimentation. They will use When I Grow Up STEM Series to observe, study, and step into the role of scientist! They will use Let’s Go Code Activity Set as an introduction to early coding and programming ideas!
This project will help inspire creativity and help my Transitional Kindergarteners become better kindergarten problem solvers, planners, and thinkers!
It is critical to provide these active exploration and critical thinking experiences for our youngest learners.
