To some, teaching high school English may seem extremely challenging. To me, the freshman English classroom is the ideal place to watch students learn, discover, and understand. Among the halls of my school, you will find a wide array of students, many of whom are fun loving, hard working, and challenge-seeking.
Living in a college town, most of my students are eager to learn and quite capable of mastering 21st century skills, especially in the areas of collaboration and creativity.
My students are, for the most part, uniquely inquisitive, driven, and capable... a recipe for success given the right environment. That's where you come in.
My Project
I am always on the lookout for streamlining my planning and maximizing student learning, especially in the language arts classroom. A veteran teacher of the literacy field, I have researched a wide array of resources. Thankfully, a colleague introduced me to Study.Com, and my search is over.
Study.Com provides my students engaging lessons with simple videos, creative activities, and high-quality assessment opportunities.
With the growing number of companies vying for student and teacher attention, Study.Com surpasses the competition and provides research-based, objective materials suitable for the 21st century student.
My students have already found lessons on Study.Com to be easier to maneuver. Parents have expressed interest in the lessons my students have completed, and my colleagues have begun asking about the resource for their classrooms. To me, Study.Com is well worth the money spent to ensure my students have top-notch articles focused on learning and nothing else. Plus, this resource cuts down my planning time in half. Your donation would greatly help me save some money on an out-of-pocket expense I happily pay each month.
