Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am lucky enough to work for a school with so many different cultures represented on a dally basis. We have over 20 languages spoken in our school. My classroom is a special education classroom where students are working on building literacy skills.
I learn something new from my students every single day.
I love learning about my students’ culture and learning about what makes them unique. I have been lucky enough to work in a variety of schools settings, however being at AWCPA has opened my eyes.
My Project
I struggle with classroom management. Although, I work hard on building relationships, it has been challenging trying to build relationships with students from a diverse background.
Going to this training will help me build my knowledge of how to build relationships with students from the first day to the last.
I hope that this will help me grow in my classroom management and help me become a more successful teacher. I think that this will help my grow a lot as a teacher, as well as give me ideas on how to better build relationships with challenging students. This training will give me the tools and resources needed in order to build more positive relationships with my students.
