This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing! They are so full of life and always bring a smile to my face. They find creative ways to show me that I mean something to them. Last year many of them even gave me Mother's day cards. I can't name the amount of times that I've wondered who is learning more from whom; me or them.

I feel so fortunate to be a part of these children's lives and education.

My Project

I am requesting two Chromebooks and a listening center! I plan to use google classroom and give my students access to more online resources. I will use the listening centers for students to read along with. It offers the ability to block out distraction while reading, as well.

They will use these products for literacy centers, research and other ELA activities.

Student engagement is part of the battle of teaching ELA. I need more access to technology to be able to keep things fresh and moving. We currently share Chromebooks among our grade level. I would love to have two that stay in my classroom exclusively.
