My Students

I have fantastic students with brilliant minds. As a math and choir teacher, I have the pleasure of seeing them express themselves in many different ways. Our school has a very diverse student body with children from different socioeconomic backgrounds. This doesn't define our students. They all show unlimited potential.

I want to help each of my students find success in school.

To do this, I try to treat each of my students as individuals. What works for one will not work for all. I know that if I can get a variety of materials to teach with, I will be able to help more students reach their goals with their education.

My Project

There are huge learning gaps in mathematical processes for many of my students. Although I teach an upper grade, I still have students who don't know the basics. I know that hands on manipulatives can help some students be more successful because they can experiment with the numbers instead of just writing them. In choir, many students need to hear the music with more volume than a Chromebook provides. Additional musical instruments will too allow them to experiment with sound.

Help me help my students by giving them music and math manipulatives.

I know these items will help them to succeed. This will help extend their knowledge from listening to a teacher to trying it for themselves.
