Meet my kindergarten classroom - kindergartners who love active learning, love to read, love to learn math and love to create and explore! These kindergartners love hands-on activities and are proud of their achievements. My students are mostly Native American and they come from diverse backgrounds.
Our school has a student population that includes: 95% minorities, 100% of students who receive free/reduced-price lunch (the school has a grant that currently covers this) and 87% of students are from low-income families.
My Project
My students will be attending school in a hybrid style this year, combining in classroom Learning for two days and virtually learning from home for three days. When home, they will be using chrome books provided by our district.
I want to give my students some fun and variety to their learning and have them look forward to school! This project will do By providing a scholastic print and digital description for us to explore together monthly.
This will be so rewarding for them to experience and look forward too! The project also includes Teachers Pay Teacher cards that will be used for two yearlong boom card bundles in math and literacy. The students will be able to learn in a fun and new way through playing online games and assessments that the boom cards will give them. I will also purchase math and literacy printable activities to be used as manipulatives to provide hands on learning.
