My Students
All of the students I work with have speech and language disabilities. They come from low socio-economic backgrounds. They receive most of their enrichment at school. It is important to enrich their lessons with technology.
Each student has an Individualized Education Plan(IEP), these plans consist of goals and objectives to assist the student in achieving proficiency across various parts of their education.
The students struggle everyday to keep up with the curriculum. Most of the students are below grade level and technology will help them reach their potential.
My Project
The donations to the project will help my students attain their speech and language goal efficiently. By having a magnetic white board in the speech room, they will have a place to look for models and examples of written language. They will be able to see the articulation sounds they are practicing using magnets.
The projector will be a functional tool to display the work and they can follow along as I present the different parts of a lesson.
The lessons could be writing, story grammar marker or articulation.
The students will benefit from having materials up close and clear for them to see.
