Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Remember creating a work of art in school that you brought home to be hung on the refrigerator? Imagine not having this memory because you were rarely given materials to express your creative side.
My students are bright, creative learners who strive at excellence each day.
Many of them are on reduced or free lunch and reside in a low socio-economic area. My school does not incorporate an art program. The teachers are encouraged to incorporate art into the curriculum. This is difficult to do without art materials available in the classroom. Unfortunately resources are scarce with the exception of those provided by the teachers.
My Project
My students need markers, colored pencils, and glue to express their creativity. My students enjoy any opportunity to express themselves through the visual arts. With these materials, my students will be able to express their creative sides with projects that can be displayed within the classroom and in the hallway for the entire school to enjoy.
With your assistance my students' classroom will become a brighter place to learn and grow.
They will have something to be proud of and bring home to show their families. Help us to make our classroom colorful!
