My students need individual earbud headphones so they can access our 14 Chrome books. Having these will allow them to use educational reading and math programs.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My goal for my students is to provide real life learning experiences that prepare them for the world beyond our classroom. Being able to access and proficiently using technology is a huge plus that will help build a successful future for my students.
For many of my students school is a safe place where they feel loved and cared for.
All of my students come from high poverty backgrounds where access to a computer is not available. They come to school excited to learn and wanting to learn how to use technology. Using Chrome books opens my students to motivational learning programs that will build and prepare them for college and careers in our technology based world.
My Project
The headphones requested will help my students use the 14 Chrome books the district provides for classroom use. These headphone will make it possible for my students to use intervention reading, math, and typing programs on their computer. Specifically the computer programs we use requires individual headphones so students can have directions and words read aloud to them.
This will.
Ale a huge difference for my students for many reason. First, many of my students are learning English and using headphones will help them hear how to pronounce words. Second, many of my students are struggling with basic reading skills and benefit from using computer programs that read aloud to them.
