Help Make Our MAKERSPACE Shine Bright With STEM Projects!
Help me give my students the tools to make our Makerspace a success with LEGO boards that will be mounted to make our 3D LEGO wall, and the MakeDo Tool kit that will allow us to turn trash into treasure.
Students at my school come together from many different backgrounds and abilities to create a beautiful community that we call home. We have both self-contained Montessori classes and self-contained gifted classrooms, as well as our mainstream classrooms, so we are able to meet a large variety of learning styles and student needs.
My students are curious about how the world works, and I try to foster that curiosity with project-based curriculum, and hands-on learning experiences.
Our Makerspace is a place where we can come together and build while exploring concepts in science, the arts, engineering, and more.
My Project
The materials on this list will go toward a variety of exciting uses. They will help introduce my students to new and familiar concepts, such as coding, electricity, robotics, and engineering. These loose parts, kits, and pieces will be an essential part of our space.
Our Makerspace is brand new this school year, and we are hoping to create a community space where all feel welcome to explore, learn, enjoy, and MAKE!
We will be able to incorporate these materials into a variety of lessons, projects, and open-ended learning experiences. When combined with our other donations of recycled materials and things to tinker with, we will make great things happen.
