My Project

Help my students learn to love learning! I teach a third-grade class at Chief Leschi, with a group of passionate energetic students who love to explore the world around them.

Sitting at a desk all day can be tough, and freedom of movement can be a game-changer when it comes to student motivation.

The lap desks will offer my students the chance to use the whole classroom as their learning space. The mobile desk cart will unchain me from my desk and my whiteboard, allowing me to move freely among my students. The bookcase will allow me to build a STEM/art center in our classroom so that my students can fully express their creativity.

My goal is to make school a more welcoming and exciting place for my students, giving them the tools they need to learn and embrace their cultures and identities.
