My students need nutritious snacks like Planters Trail Nuts and Kellogg's Pastry strips so they can have the energy to fully engage in class activities.
I teach eighth grade social studies to special education and general education students. It is important to me to make U.S. history fun and engaging for my students. I want to make sure my students have access to the basic nourishment they need to be successful in school.
I teach at a Title One school in New York where more than half of the student population come from low income households.
Many students have minimal access to basic wellness supplies and when they need replacing, are unable to replenish what they need. I want to be able to supply them with these necessities.
My Project
Donating to this project will help to equip my classroom with healthy and nutritious snacks for our students. I would like to ensure that I have healthy snacks on hand when our students are hungry.
Having an ample supply of nutritious foods helps to keep my students healthy and engaged in class.
Many students take the bus to school so sitting down to eat at home, sometimes isn't an option. These students sometimes get in too late to take advantage of the breakfast program. Others work through their lunch periods and miss lunch altogether. Having these nutritious snacks at school will ensure that these students are full and happy.
