Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Kids love to read at Christopher School. Unfortunately, we just don't have enough books to go around! We especially need books written in Spanish. 60% of our kids are Hispanic and English language learners. Many of our Spanish speaking parents also check out books. Our students and families work very hard towards continuous improvement. Books will add enjoyment as well as academic improvement. We'd love to host Family Reading nights here. The kids would bring their families. Everyone would be in their pajamas. We've talked about doing this for a long time. I would even volunteer my time to be here because I feel it's that important. New books would help make Family Reading nights a success. It would be nice to have a carpet on which the students can sit while listening to story time. Thank you! Thank you!
