Ms. B. from New Orleans LA is requesting books through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need individual copies of the Kaplan AP World History review books to help them prepare for a competitive AP score this upcoming May.

My students from New Orleans are part of a rigorous AP and Bard program that offers the chance to earn an Associate's Degree in high school. Our school's unique programming gives children from all cultures, areas, and various incomes an opportunity to learn and thrive within the district. The high schoolers I'm lucky to teach are students that were with me in 9th grade, and they're looping up with me to 10th to hopefully dominate 10th AP World History.
Our students are historians, first and foremost, and they deeply value the importance of going beyond a single story of history.
Our students are beyond bright. They are inquisitive, diligent, hardworking, and intensely honest about their own areas of strength and growth.
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a purpose. In other words, I know exactly how and when to use the AP World History Prep review books, which I plan to give out during our Winter Break to get kids super motivated for the final units before review in March and April and the AP exam in May 2019. Passing the AP exam makes students eligible for college credit at many universities and colleges, and the exam review books will greatly increase the chances of our students passing with a score above a 3. The exam review books will be used by students not only as homework and break homework, but to deliberately organize our weekend and after-school study sessions as we approach the exam.
Students will use the AP World History Prep review books as homework assignments in order to have a clear, thoughtful and quick way to review time periods and make flashcards.
Additionally, the books will function as "base" information for the course, allowing students to independently test themselves and conduct additional research on areas of growth.
