This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are the reason I come to work everyday. I inspire them to do the best they can in 8th grade math. The biggest joy factor as teacher is students’ success stories. I teach at a Title I school which mean over 80% of the population live in low poverty. Each and everyday we have an “inspiration talk” for at least 5 minutes just to let know the sky is the limit and you can do anything you put your mind to.

My Project

These materials will help students keep organized when they need to study or complete only math homework. Majority of my students have only one binder to keep all subject materials in and they tend to get things mixed up. Having an only math binder will guarantee success and mastery. Inside the binders the dividers will be used to separate each units, graded work, and a table/reference. The binders will be used as a project grade to hold students accountable for their binders. There will also be random binder checks to make sure students stay organize throughout the entire school year.
