Help Keep My Mathematicians 'In Line With Using Number Lines!

My Project

These specific number line math tools will give my students the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning when exposed to number lines. In first grade, we teach addition and subtraction strategies, using a number line being one of them. I've noticed an increase of misconceptions when learning about how to properly use a number line to solve addition and subtraction equations. My goal for this project is to put more math based manipulatives into the hands of my students to explore, and engage their senses within our math curriculum. These math tools are a great way to offer my students multiple modes of instruction, through increased engagement with kinesthetic learning.
