I teach in a full day preschool classroom with 24 Children. These children live in a low-income area where many of them come to school without proper shoes, jackets, and food. I enjoy working in this area because it is so rewarding. It is remarkable watching my students overcome new obstacles everyday. My classroom is like a second home for my students, most of them spend more than eight hours a day with me. They use my classroom as a place for warmth, love, and to escape their troubles. Regardless, of the whats happening at home these children comes to school cheerful, eager, and energetic to learn and explore new things.
As a teacher, it is very important for me to keep my children inspired, engaged and passionate about learning because these young children are the future.

My Project
Oh my gosh, it's raining again what do we do now! My preschoolers want to play and be active when it is raining outside and when the weather is too hot. It is very difficult when students cannot go outside to get their energy's out. I need to find a way to help keep my students active when the weather does not permit us to go outside.
I would like to set up different centers with indoor gross motor activities to keep my students engage and active.
I would like to get a hopscotch carpet, smart toss game, and a ring toss game along with the gonge riverstone balance game. When it's raining outside my students get so hyperactive and rambunctious. It is so challenging for them to stay focus and learn at the same time because they need to get their energy out. This games will allow my children to learn that they can still have fun and be active even if it's raining or when it's too hot to go outside.
