We are in an urban setting in a public school in the capitol city. Currently, supply funding is extremely limited, despite the yearly mandates to include more choice and flexibility in our classrooms. As a result, we make do with the use of second hand, sometimes older furniture that we rehab. Needless to say, this a great challenge. I would like to make a change with this proposal. I want my students to walk into their classroom and be delighted each day because of the thought and care that went into providing them with flexible seating options. Something as simple as seating options will make a huge impact.
Every year, the need to use technology increases in the class room. With the use of a document camera students will be able to project and share their best work with their peers, in all subject areas.
With the use of a document camera, I will be able to project mentor texts for all subjects and help students analyze learning models in high definition and stunning detail.
Together we will be able to closely review text for examples of figurative language in language arts, life cycles in science, or solve for area in math, just to name a few ways we will be able to enhance our learning.
We are in need of headphones because some of our learning requires head phones and replenishing our supply will ensure all students have a working pair of headphones.
