Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a special education teacher at the PS 345 which is a Title I school located in the East New York area where over 98% of the students eat free lunch. My proposal is for instant hand sanitizer, Clorox disinfectant spray and Antibacterial wipes to help keep my students healthy and teach them healthy habits. My students loose a lot of instructional time and days of school due to sickness. There is no sink in my room and therefore students have no way of washing their hands after they sneeze or cough. It takes quite a while for them to return after they are sent to the bathroom. I feel that instant hand sanitizer, Clorox disinfectant spray and antibacterial wipes will help keep my students healthy and germ free, While providing a clean and sanitary environment. The above items will also give my students a chance to spend more time engaging in academic activities and cut down on the number of days lost due to illness.
