Help me give my students the ability to improve their reading ability. These inexpensive, but durable, headphones will last my classes many years, and allow us to utilize differentiated reading software that is proven to improve reading.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Compton is often associated with negative connotations, but despite being born into the country's quintessential inner-city, my students rise above the perceptions held by others. They are dedicated, bright and ready to learn, but they don't have the opportunity to use tools that will be necessary for them to understand in order to compete for college and career readiness. Technological literacy is fundamental for their future success. My students come from very low-income homes and some come from no home at all, but they come ready, willing, and able to change what "straight outta Compton" means.
My Project
My students are struggling readers. The school district invested funds in a fantastic reading software program that is proven to improve students' reading levels by giving individualized instruction that is both interactive and even fun. One on one instruction for 40 students at a time is a game changer. I have had amazing success with this software, and my students have shown gains as high as four years while using this program combined with my classroom instruction. It literally changes lives in just 20 minutes of class time a day.
Unfortunately, this software requires students to have headphones as every lesson is different for every student.
Many of my students don't even have homes, let alone headphones. The dollar store headphones I bought a few years ago are finally worn out, and we need your help to replace them.
These quality and inexpensive headphones should last several years and have the ability to improve the lives of hundreds and hundreds of students.
