Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are inner city kids that are eager to learn new skills in my woodworking class. Not many have much if any experience with woodworking tools but they are progressing very well. For the most part, they have shown great interest in the shop with they projects they have done so far this year. But we are often short on tools my students and I are in need of some fresh new tools and materials to show them what Tech Ed is really about!
My Project
Much of the materials that I have selected are to replace or refurbish older tools and equipment. The tools and equipment that are listed will ensure that students are all engaged while working on their projects because we will no longer be short on tools. I often see my students waiting for others to be done so that they can use the tools. There is also some materials in the shop that I am running short on and will not be able to make it the entire year with what I have.
Everything on the list is extremely important to the success of my classroom this year!
