I need help because my district does not provide any continuing education for PE, which keeps me up to date on the most exciting games, health lessons, and allows me to retain my teaching certificate.

Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We are a Title I, low-income school here in the heart of Savannah. We have over 90% of our students on the free/reduced lunch program. We are a part of backpack buddies, which allows children to take food home for the weekend so they have at least something to eat.

We want to provide our students with everything they need so they don't feel at a disadvantage just because of their financial means.

Our students are the very BEST! They are so sweet and kind and we love each and every one of our babies so very much.

My Project

Imagine the most fun camp that you ever went to during the summer. That is what physical education conferences are for adults. It not only teaches us new and exciting games to bring to our students, but it also gives us the much needed continuing education credits that we must have in order to keep our certificates up to date.

My students and I NEED your help and support to go to my conference.

Our district does not provide physical education classes. We have to travel in order to get the credits that we need. Without your help, I would not be able to attend because there is no budget set aside for this. Please help me to be able to provide for my students the newest and most exciting games, current health curriculum, and to be able to keep my certificate.
