This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing! They range in age from 3-5 year olds with varied disabilities. Most of my students come from all different backgrounds and varied home situations. They are eager to learn new things and are always excited to experiment with new materials and equipment!!

I am excited to be their teacher and to work with these amazing kids.

It is also a privilege to work with the parents and have them entrust them in my care as an educator.

My Project

My students will be able to use the iPad to navigate through specific applications that will make their learning more exciting and enhance both fine motor skills along with amazing educational benefits.

At present we have 2 laptops in the classroom that are shared by 10 students.

They are not nearly enough to satisfy the needs of my students especially since they have varied disabilities. Learning can be difficult to begin with especially with students that have disabilities. Updated technology is needed to enhance student learning, motivation and interest. These little ones need to be engaged the whole time. This iPad will make that possible!!
