I teach 18 wonderful children in the New York City area. Many of these children come from low-income families and do not have the resources to enhance their academic skills.
These children are fun-loving and full of life, and they deserve to have the resources they need to help them succeed in school.
We have a great school but, due to budget cuts, it's hard to get the funds for the materials we need in the classroom. You can help make a difference in these children's lives.
My Project
Many of the children will be going trick or treating and getting lots of candy. We have talked about what can happen if you eat too much candy. We want to help the children get their Halloween experience started off right. Help us celebrate Halloween by giving them a healthy snack before they go out. Pretzels are a great alternative to candy in a fun and delicious way. This way their bellies will be full and they will not eat too much candy while they are going trick or treating.
