My students are creative, caring, full of questions, and have a lot of energy!
I have a class of 20 first grade students with diverse needs and learning styles.
Fourteen of these students are boys! In my classroom, I do not only teach core subjects, but I also teach students how to work together, social emotional skills, and how to be problem solvers.
My students LOVE hands-on activities, engaging projects, challenges, and learning. Finding materials for hands-on activities can be expensive. There are so many outside resources that can help my students become better spellers, problem solver, improve their math skills!
My Project
This year I introduced LEGOS to my first graders. The impact it made was HUGE. I realized quickly that I can bring LEGOS into my daily math and literacy centers.
A LEGO wall can help my students bring hands-on learning into all subject areas!
This LEGO wall will not only impact my student's learning this year, but every class I get in years to come!
My students will be able to practice math facts, sight words, spelling words, fractions, sorting, graphing, and more! It will also improve my classroom environment by promoting students to work together! A LEGO wall has endless benefits and I am so excited to show other teachers, parents, and students just how beneficial it can be!
