This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are diverse in every sense of the word. They come from different walks of life, and some have more difficult home lives than others. Despite the challenges they face, they come to school each day eager to learn and up for any challenge presented to them. They do not let the obstacles in their lives stop them from reaching their goals. Their persistence inspires me to be the very best teacher I can be and to give them the best learning experience possible.

My Project

Have you ever read a book that you can't put down? Well, Where the Mountain Meets the Moon is a book that fourth graders never want to put down! Not only is this book engaging, but it helps support the reading indicators students are expected to master. This book is also a great example of a complex text that challenges students as well.

What could be better than students who do not want to put a book down?

Nothing! This is an amazing opportunity to help enrich students and get them excited to read again!

Additionally, the fact that people are willing to support their education is something they will never forget.
