My 2nd grade classroom is made up of twenty diverse and inspiring learners. Students come from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Our school is located in one of the most historically impoverished communities in San Francisco, but these students are resilient and passionate about learning. They come to school every day excited to see what topics they'll be exploring. Our school is dedicated to providing services and opportunities that serve the whole child, their family, and their community.
My Project
My students need new headphones! Our classroom is very lucky to have daily access to tablets. We use them throughout the day in many different areas. Some students use them during reading to find "just right" books or to be read a story. Some use them during math as a center that helps reinforce and bolster number skills. During technology class we've used them to create animated stories, travel the globe and practice our coding skills.
New, child-sized headphones will help students feel focused and comfortable when using this technology.
Headphones will help students to hear more clearly and to block out outside distractions.
No more digging through a tangled up pile of earbuds! No more fidgeting with giant adult-sized headphones or teeny tiny earbuds that constantly fall out! No more cries of "ewww!" when finding that pair of earbuds that have been used by multiple children and never wiped off!
These headphones will help students to spend more time working productively on the tablets. Thank you for your support!
