My Students

My first graders want to eagerly understand. However, limited exposure to books, computers/internet, and limited English students enter the classroom energetically smiling and ready to learn, despite any challenges they may face.

More than half are one to two grade levels behind the standards for first grade at the beginning of the school year, but they have tremendous potential for growth.

My students depend on me for structure and security. In time students develop the awesomeness, resilience, and grit needed to make major progress in first grade. Our classroom "family" thrives with our passion for learning.

My Project

We desperately need a document camera! The document camera can enlarge the page for my students to see the details. My students have a hard time seeing.

Also, the digital material provided by this project helps the students learn grade level first grade academics as well as Kindergarten and second grade math and reading skills.

The Teacherpayteachers digital gives students online materials to accommodate virtual and in-person learning as our learning environment changes with the pandemic.

My first graders will overcome pandemic obstacles to be successful high school graduates. Please help my awesome students reach for the stars of success by funding this project and providing a few more learning tools to help them persevere and triumph successfully.
