My students need: organizers/mailboxes, dice, magnetic letters, easels, document camera extender and light, USB charger and speakers to enhance student learning.
Student centered learning is the most important thing in a classroom. In order to enhance my small group meetings I am in need of some supplies. Materials such as magnetic letters and dice will help enhance the learning that occurs during these small groups as well as allow for differentiation.
I teach in a first grade classroom in a public school.
I have 25 energetic students in my classroom. These students are eager to learn each day they are at school. It is my desire to make the learning experience for each of my students as meaningful as possible.
My Project
The 10-drawer organizers will allow students to organize daily assignments and leveled center activities to save valuable teaching time. The foam dice/double dice will be used by students during math centers to strengthen computation skills and make learning fun! The magnetic letters and easels will also be used by students in literacy centers to complete sight word and other word work activities using these materials.
The USB supercharger will allow our classroom to keep devices charged and ready for use at any given time. We can charge multiple devices using one plug! The extension stand and USB LED light will pair with the document camera I already have. The extender will make it easy to display larger documents on our SmartBoard and the light will allow our documents to be easily seen in low light situations. The paper organizer will serve as student mailboxes and the speakers will pair with our classroom iPad to play music throughout the room during writing time.
It is my goal to help each student make educational gains no matter what their current ability level.
These materials and manipulatives will allow for me to meet each student at their current academic level and help them continue to grow as learners. This will undoubtedly put each of my students on a course to lifelong success.
