My students amaze me each and everyday! This kindergarten classroom is filled with students speaking a variety of languages, and come from all kinds of backgrounds. Some students are here as refugees from another country, some are currently living in homeless shelters with their families, while others live in apartments with several families.
Despite their circumstances the come to school each day ready to learn with a smile on their face!
My students work hard each and every day in order to get ready for first grade. Each student has similar but different goals to achieve each day and everyone is making progress toward their goal. I want all my students to be proud of their accomplishments no matter how small.
My Project
All of my hungry kindergarten students receive free breakfast and lunch at our school, however snack time and what they can eat at home are limited. I would like to be able to give my students snack here at school each afternoon.
I would also like to be able to send home a package of snacks over the weekend to the students that I know are having difficulty knowing where their next meal is going to be coming from.
These snacks will help my students focus more on their writing, reading and math practice and less on their growling tummies.
