This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school has about 300 students who study from Pre-K to 5th grade. Most of them are African American children and Hispanic children. Most of them come from low-income families. They are nice and respectful when they interact with other people. They smile at people when they meet people in the morning. Some of them are struggling in math and English, but they work very hard to overcome the challenges. It is my pleasure to be their teacher in the school this year.
My Project
My students are African American children and Hispanic children. They come from low-income families and have limited resources for learning. This project will be awesome for my students. They will program 5 Kano - Disney Frozen II Coding Kits to develop their computer coding skills. Every three months, 5 groups of 2 elementary school students will use the coding kits to complete different challenging computer science tasks. Eventually, 30 students will use the coding kits in this school year. (10 students x 3 = 30 students.) My students are excited to learn about programming. They need hands-on learning experiences to develop their logical thinking skills and problem-solving skills. Please help my students. Thank you.
