My Students

My students come from low-income areas and low socioeconomic backgrounds. One hundred percent qualify for free breakfast and lunch. We lack many everyday school supplies, and many of the parents cannot afford to buy their children pencils, folders, and other essential supplies for school.

Many of my students come from low-income households.

Eighty-five percent of the students are English Language Learners, so many do not receive much help at home due to language. The teachers at our school are mentors to the children. We want all our students to succeed. The school provides a caring and warm environment to learn.

My Project

Due to schools being closed for the rest of the year. We will be doing video conferencing daily. I will be teaching math and reading lessons. I would like to be teaching using an iPad which will help quickly make my instruction visible to my students. Using my Laptop and mouse has been difficult to write on my slides when I teach. I would like some support in purchasing the iPad so that I can use it to help to provide engaging instruction for my students as I continue to teach them online.I can make visual lessons for my students. I will be able to write on the iPad on Powerpoint to teach lessons that will engage my students. The headphones will help them to hear their lessons and not disturb others in the home.
