My students our incredibly thoughtful, curious, and eager to learn. They show resiliency every day, coming to school with unwavering positive outlooks. The Lake Hills community wraps its arms around this school, welcoming new families and providing support connecting to resources.
Our diversity is our greatest strength.
We find value in our differences and celebrate each other. My students are greater than they realize, and I work every day to show them their potential. Life circumstances and trauma have caused many of my students to feel insecure in themselves, as learners and as people. We work hard every day to feel proud of ourselves, accepting imperfection while taking risks.
These students are the leaders of tomorrow. They have so much potential, but they need help and support to realize just how amazing they truly are!
My Project
These hard-cover books will encourage students to read! Because of the characters and themes of these books, they have the potential to connect with my diverse students on a deeper level.
Adding these books to our classroom library would provide more engaging texts that meet students at their current level while inspiring them to explore!
My hope is that these children will begin to see themselves as people with unlimited potential. The diversity of this classroom requires adaptive literacy strategies, and my hope is that these books will help my students learn that reading can be a magical, fun experience.
