Help Developmentally Disabled Toddlers Meet Their Potential!
Help me give my students the positioning and communication tools they need to reach their fullest potential through alternative seating and sensory integration tools!
My students are 3 and 4 years old with developmental delays. They are developing all the self expression and skills that are needed to participate in school as fully as possible.
The students have a very wide range of ability levels.
Some have visual impairments, some are severely autistic, some are almost ready for kindergarten.
There is a lot of differentiation that is required, but all the students enjoy being able to participate in an art activity that is relative to our theme.
My Project
My students are working on building their independence and adaptive skills to prepare for kindergarten. They each have individualized goals that decrease their dependence on teachers and help them to self advocate, follow rules and increase skills and ability to engage in an educational environment.
With your help they will get the tools they need in order to successfully work independently.
These sensory tools will create a more fully integrated student that is ready to participate and learn through individualized small group instruction. Each student will be able to find success and positive reinforcement while having a great time doing it. Thank you for impacting my students in such a positive way.
