Help Close Academic Gaps

Help me give my students the opportunity to have learning materials to close the learning gaps in reading, language and math created by Covid. The Finding Evidence Comprehension Kit and Grab Match Leveled Math Sets are great choices.

My Students

We are an all inclusive, blended, Montessori classroom, with 4th and 5th graders, where as the teacher, I follow each child, at their pace and level. Our motto is - Life is Good!

My amazing children each strive to be their best, not only academically, but as contributors to their society in their classroom.

The children practice being independent learners, self-starters, and problem-solvers, academically and socially. I am blessed that I have been afforded the opportunity to guide these young minds.

Covid has impacted their learning I am looking to increase literacy, and math skills due to loss of learning from and during the pandemic.

My Project

All of the selected material will help the children close their learning gaps, if fun ways that don't take a lot of time. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic materials at hand, and not whether their materials are going to work or not. Plus with these selections will help the children become more engaged, become more literate, and better equipped to advance to the next grade level.

By donated to our project, you will not only help improve and increase students mastery of their own learning, and decrease academic gaps, you will ultimately help to increase their overall academic achievement.

This is the first year, in my seven years of teaching, the students learning level is about one grade level behind, in both reading and math. With these comprehension, tricky words, and writing practice. I can see them gaining and progressing farther then the access they have with our general curriculum choices. The math set will allow the children to see math in different ways, which becomes a companion to the general curriculum the state requires us to teach.
