Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Make a real difference in children's lives! Did you have books to read when you were young? Many of my students do not have any books at home. By providing interesting fun reading materials for my students, hopefully they will learn to love reading by opening up a new world to them!
My amazing Kindergarten students have many obstacles to overcome.
They live in a suburb of Washington, D.C., in a predominantly Hispanic community. They are English language learners, who qualify to receive free meals at school. Some of my students are also special needs students with learning disabilities.
My Project
The Let's Find Out Scholastic Magazines are developmentally appropriate and help Kindergarten students improve their reading skills. Each issue is aligned to the Common Core standards. In addition to the amazing print issues that the children will be able to take home, there are also many online resources that include lesson building tools, promethean board activities, videos, games, and printable skill worksheets.
Help make the difference in my children's lives.
Help me to make learning fun for them. Help me to light a spark of curiosity in them. Help me to create joyful readers! With your generous support I can do it!
