My Project

What if a book could change your entire view of the world? What if a book could change your entire life? All of the books provided by this project are those kinds of books. These books will be used to help build our classroom independent reading library and for general research projects and were specifically requested by students to read this year.

I have built into my class activities that encourage students to read independently, with the ultimate goal of falling in love with reading and becoming a lifelong reader on their own.

Throughout the week and the semester, students can choose from books in my classroom to do independent reading projects on. The books in this project are a few carefully selected books that I believe will benefit the lives of my students. I have chosen them to personally recommend to students. Many of these books are affordable, durably bound books that will last for many, many years to come with many different students reading and taking home with them each year.

These books were specifically chosen by this year's students and they specifically requested to read them, so I'd love to purchase them before the end of the school year to inspire these kids to be lifelong readers!
