My students need materials to help create their own books. They need printer ink for their illustrations, cardstock for the pages and covers, and rings to bind the books.
Remember when you were in Pre-K or kindergarten? You couldn't wait to read a new book. Now, imagine creating your own!
My students are 22 energetic, enthusiastic Pre-K students with a love for learning.
They especially love listening to books read aloud. They are also enjoying creating their own books for our classroom library. We need materials to help these budding authors to bloom.
My Project
I have requested resources to help my students create their own books. I have asked for printer ink for my students' illustrations, cardstock for the pages and covers, and rings to bind the books.
With these materials, my students will be able to use drawings, dictation, and even photographs on the computer to write and illustrate their own books. Their images will be printed on the heavy-duty cardstock and bound, then put on a special shelf in our classroom library. How cool will it be for them to see a book they made in the library? Pretty cool! The best part is, they will also be able to take their own copy home!
Your donations will give my students the chance to spread their literary wings and fly away with new ideas and new books.
With your help, every child will get to be a star as they share the book they authored and illustrated with the class.
