Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have an amazing class full of little learners. We are developing a life long love of learning, and habits that will last for the rest of our lives. We are a class of 24 low economic learners. We work hard and encourage each other. Our curriculum consists of a lot of social skills and problem solving.
We will be the students who change the world for the better.
We learn how to get along and how to work with others. We learn to solve problems through group work and strategies. We overcome very tough situations to work hard and be great students.
My Project
Students spend most of their school days listening to teachers lecture. A CD tape player can give students a different "voice" to hear. Students enjoy hearing songs and can learn and retain new skills through music.
Music is an excellent teaching source.
All subject matters are available and students enjoy learning through music. Subjects which can be intimidating for young students, can be comfortably introduced with music.
A CD tape player can also be used to listen to stories and make stories come alive. Background sounds add to the setting of stories and voices can change a character from a scary monster to a cute puppy.
