My Students

I have a great group of 2nd grade students who are always excited to learn and use mindfulness in the classroom. My students are comprised of a variety of learners from different backgrounds. A large percentage of students at my school receive free and reduced price lunch and live in low-income housing. Students are able to learn so much more when they have time to take a break and use mindfulness. They love to be challenged and are always ready to learn something new! They will have more opportunities to be ready to learn if they have opportunities to be mindful.

My Project

Our class is out of copies for the year and with your help, students will be able to work on their individual sheets in Language Arts! These copies will include phonics, vocabulary, spelling, high-frequency words and grammar. It will make such a difference for the students to be able to demonstrate their learning and understanding on individual paper. This will also allow students who need extra help to bring their work to a small group. When we do the sheets whole class, students are not engaged and do not demonstrate their understanding. Your kindness will help all students learn in my class!
