The students in my class are only 25 of the almost 700 students that come to school each day eager to learn! Our school services Pre-K through 4th grade. We are located in a high poverty area, but this has never stopped our students or teachers from striving for the best. The students in my class have very diverse backgrounds. I make it my personal, daily goal to have each child enter my classroom feeling welcomed, loved, and appreciated! All of my students matter and bring so much joy to my life!
My Project
I plan on implementing a new behavior system this school year. I have several students who are in need of extra behavioral and academic support. I want to create "brag tags" for my students to wear as they meet academic and behavioral goals.
Bright and Colorful "brag tags" will brighten up a child's day when they are noticed by other students and staff.
"Brag Tags" are a classroom incentive system that will be used to encourage, promote, and celebrate positive behavior and academic growth. My students will have added motivation to work towards their individual goals! I plan on having a special day of the week for the students to wear their tags around campus as a way of "bragging" about their outstanding accomplishments!
These tags will be printed in bright and colorful ink and hung on necklaces. Students will be able to add colored beads to their necklaces when they reach certain milestones.
