My Students
I am so excited to finally be accomplishing my lifelong dream of becoming a teacher! As a first time teacher, I am thrilled to be a part of shaping the lives of our precious children!
My class will contain 20 bright young individuals!! This age brings so much joy and life to the classroom! I am so excited to meet each child and support their strengths and encourage their weaknesses.
I can not wait to become a part of an amazing team who inspires all individuals from teachers to students!
My Project
Studies show that the more a child is read to, the greater chance they will ease into learning how to read. Students need to hear stories read to them throughout the day. This is not always easy when there is only one teacher in the classroom.
With audiobooks, my students can be read to while I am working with small groups. This will expose them to vocabulary, prosody, rate, and accuracy. All things required to be a fluent reader.
Students will also be engaged by hearing other readers than just myself. This will keep them engaged and interested in the audio stories.
