Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am so lucky to get to work with such a diverse group of students. All of my students are unique in their own ways and have such bright and bursting personalities. With this being my first year as a teacher, I would love to learn more ways to engage my students in the classroom and make sure they get the most out of their day at school.
The first few months of my career have been a wild and fun adventure!
So far this school year I began with 15 students and now have 20 amazing kiddos in my classroom! Each and every student has accomplished so much this school year and have worked together to be so successful! Their success is what has helped me grow my passion for teaching, and I can't wait to see how successful they are the rest of the year!
My Project
Get Your Teach On is a national teaching conference that engages teachers and helps them discover the best ways to teach their kiddos. This conference is four days, and just through word-of-mouth from teachers I've talked to and from what I've observed, what is taught at Get Your Teach On helps students be active and engaged learners in the classroom.
Professional Development is the best way to help a teacher grow!
At this conference, I will be shown research-based strategies and techniques to use in the classroom to create a learner-centered classroom where each student's needs are met, and all students can be successful in the classroom.
