My Students

No two days are ever the same in our class. We are always looking for new ways to discover information, become great writers, strong readers and expert problem solvers. We are looking for new books that can help us develop in all of these areas.

Our class is a wonderful mix of curious, animated, spunky, and intelligent students.

We are respectful of each other's differences, and embrace each other's individuality. Our school fosters independence and multiculturalism. We celebrate our differences at all levels- family structures, ethnicity, religion, likes and dislikes. We teach our kids to be respectful of all friends!

My Project

Our school is named after Maurice Sendak, the famous children's author. We are working extremely hard to help our students develop into responsible citizens who love to read. These resources will provide my students with more books to read, which will allow them to have more books in their book baggies. This will help them read for longer periods of time, and read a wide range of texts.

This project will provide my students with the opportunity to become better readers.

The more books we have, the more practice they get in reading. By funding this project, you will help students gain stronger reading skills, more self-esteem and a greater love of reading.
