Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students in my class come with a wide range of abilities, interests, and needs. In our integrated classroom, we have respect and understanding that each individual is different, yet equally important.
My students understand that in our class, everyone gets what they need to be successful.
One common goal we all share is motivation for learning in a fun, comfortable, and engaging classroom environment. With this, we are able to meet the needs of all the different learners at the same time.
My Project
It's that time again! School is back in session and new students are going to be starting new grades with new goals and expectations.
I am excited to start a new year and get to know my new class, although it will a lot different this year as I am teaching an entirely new grade, 6th!
For years and years, I have taught lower grades and I have accrued lots of books from donors choose! Unfortunately, I have no 6th-grade chapter books. I am requesting popular chapter books for my 6th graders. Books such as, "Dough Boys", by Paula Chase, "Night Diary" by Veera Hiranandani and many more!
Please help me bring this project to life and give my 6th graders a great start to the new school year!
