My 4th grade students are an amazing, creative, and energetic group of individuals. They all come to school excited to experience success and want to be ready to learn. They work together to create a classroom environment that is inclusive and safe for everyone.

My students work hard and want to be successful. They are energetic, amazing, 4th grade students who want to make a difference in our world. Our school is over 60% free and reduced lunch. With our declining budget, it has been hard to purchase new classroom items.
My Project
Our school is over 60% free and reduced lunch. My classroom budget cannot afford any new headphones. I know that in order for my kids to be successful they need to be comfortable. With testing coming up I want them to have the best possible chance to do their best.
The headphones I have requested will help them stay engaged and focused when working with our technology.
These headphones will be assigned each year to a new set of ears. Quality headphones will benefit my students for many years to come. With a class set of headphones we could use them for our language arts rotations where they use story making sites, spelling practice applications, and listening centers. We could also use them for our math block when we practice our multiplication fluency.
Having these headphones will also allow the kids to use them as a "noise canceling" tool in order to stay focused while working. The most important time we will use the headphones will be during state testing. Headphones will give my students a huge advantage! They will be able to hear the question, as well as listen to important instructions. They will feel comfortable, engaged and ready to do their best.
A new set of headphones would make a difference in my kids lives. The ability to stay focused is a huge advantage. A successful classroom is a place where kids feel loved, respected, and comfortable. I would love to supply my students every year with the kind of headphones that set them up for success.
