I have a great group of fifth graders that are ready for learning through many different engaging ways. Many of the students love working with hands-on activities and absolutely thrive when technology is present in their learning. They arrive each day excited to learn and try new things.
My fifth grade crew is curious and they ask great questions that encourage a deeper level of thinking.
I am always looking for ways for them to show off what they know and what they want to learn.
My Project
Right now my students have to listen to all of the audio in the classroom through a small speaker in the projector. The speaker in the projector is facing down. This is not the most efficient way to listen to the material being presented. When the volume is turned up, there is a distracting humming noise that comes from the speaker.
I feel that a bluetooth speaker will provide a more engaging learning space for my students.
My students will be able to connect to the speakers through the classroom iPads and share their audio creations. The speakers will also allow a better opportunity for students to hear the material being presented when watching educational videos, no matter where they are in the classroom. The speakers will be used when presenting videos that students will write about for social studies, reading, and writing.
