My students need an iPad Pro to engage in exciting and rigorous learning opportunities in order to be prepared and ultimately successful in today's 21st century learning environment.
My students come from a Title I school located in Eastern North Carolina. Our school has a very large minority population where many students are at a disadvantage due to lack of funding and resources. Each classroom has a diverse group of students with various ethnicities, achievement levels, and lifestyles.
Through many hardships, my students come to class in search of a stable, safe learning environment in which they can succeed.
Each child in my classroom loves learning new strategies, sharing creative ideas, and engaging in collaborative learning conversations. These students need a place where they feel welcome, wanted, and loved. After all, the concept of home is ultimately a feeling, not a place!
My Project
An iPad Pro truly transforms a typical classroom lesson allowing students to become more engaged adding elements of sound, motion, and touch. The iPad Pro promotes collaborative learning, art integration, media literacy, and visual learning for critical thinking. This iPad Pro will help prepare my students to be 21st century learners.
As an educator, it is my responsibility to prepare students for the future, a future driven by technology.
iPads provide teachers, as well as students, with unlimited educational resources. Numerous apps allow students to practice math facts, become fluent readers, and ultimately take control of their own education. These academic processes can then be quickly assessed or analyzed allowing for effective and organized collection of student data.
