This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

W have a very diverse group of students that come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. We are a title one school and district which provides free breakfast and lunch to all students. We rotate all third graders at our school between four teachers so any donations would help an entire group of students rather than a typical class size of twenty-five. Our school has a fantastic group of lively third graders who work hard and have made tremendous progress this school year.

My Project

My 3rd graders have access to multiple personalized programs on their Chromebooks. These programs require students to use headphones so they can listen and follow their individualized pathways. The headphones my students are currently using are on their third year of use. The padding has fallen off, the ear pieces fall off, or the wiring is exposed on majority of our head phones. My students use these daily and with heavy duty headphones; we don't have to scramble to find necessary equipment.

It would be extremely helpful to have reliable headphones for my students to use as we prepare and take our SAGE end-of-year assessments.
